A Social Story is a short, personalized narrative developed by Carol Gray that describes a situation, skill, or concept using specific sentence types and ratios. They are an evidence-based tool used by therapists, educators, and families to help autistic individuals understand and prepare for everyday situations.
Mystoria is designed for both adults and children. Parents, caregivers, educators, and autistic individuals of all ages can use the app to create, customize, and read personalized social stories.
The current app saves your story library locally; cloud AI sends the content needed for your request to our providers. Same-account cloud sync, story sharing, and community templates are planned. These features will upload stories and included media, with private sync separate from sharing and community publication. They are not yet available in this build. When you describe a situation, Mystoria uses a large language model to generate a Social Story that follows Carol Gray's methodology — proper sentence ratios, first-person perspective, positive framing, and age-appropriate language. You can also create stories manually without using the LLM feature.
Saved stories can be read and edited offline. Optional on-device text generation requires a supported device and an initial model download. Cloud AI features require an internet connection.
Mystoria is free to download, with free reading, manual editing, templates, personal photos, and activities. Mystoria Plus adds cloud AI story and picture features with monthly allowances. US plans are $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year; your storefront shows the applicable price before purchase.
